Dr. Tariq Khan

Dr. Tariq Khan is a board-certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a graduate of the SUNY Health System Pediatric Residency Program in Syracuse. After training in general pediatrics, he moved to the Jamestown area in 1996 and has called it home since then. He is the founder of Southern Tier Pediatrics Practice, P.C. Dr. Khan’s professional interests include pediatric asthma and ADHD. He also oversees, and is the Medical Director for, the Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses for area healthcare professionals and allied health at WCA Hospital. Dr. Khan is ImPACT trained to provide concussion management and evaluation services for local athletes. He and the associates in his practice, are regular contributors to PG Magazine that covers topics of interest to families.


Dr. Maria Diaz

Dr. Maria I. Diaz is a board-certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She completed her pediatric residency training in 2007 at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, a program affiliated to Weill Medical College of Cornell University. In 2006, she received the Compassionate Physician Award at St. Barnabas Hospital where she worked for three years as an attending physician and teaching medical students and residents.  Dr. Diaz’s professional areas of interest are pediatric asthma and obesity. She is happy to be in the Jamestown area and enjoys spending time with her family. Dr. Diaz is bilingual and speaks fluent English and Spanish


Amy Beach

Amy Beach is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has been in practice for 16 years specializing in pediatrics and ear, nose, and throat conditions. She is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and is also a certified lactation counselor. She resides in Randolph with her husband, three children, and the dog Jessie.


Joanna Olson

Joanna Olson is a registered and certified Physician Assistant who has been working with Southern Tier Pediatrics in various roles since 2011, including internships and rotations, and has been working as a PA since 2016. Joanna is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She is a graduate of D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. She returned to Jamestown, her hometown, after completing her education. She received her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Fredonia.
